We are always on the lookout for new ideas to bring into the Division Competition and since we’ve had a Rubik’s Cube activity at the school for many years all it needed was a little organising to bring it on board.

Heats were held around the lower gallery where pupils were arranged in Divisions. Each completed cube earned points for the pupil’s Division, with the 4 fastest moving forward into a final round. The fastest  pupil on the day unscrambled his cube in just 28 seconds. As we totalled up the scores the school was treated to a blindfold attempt at solving the cube by our Maths student teacher. Another quirky EA tradition is created!
