Creative thinking and problem solving are at the heart of what we teach. Never has there been a more important time for young designers to step forward to enrich and direct how we design and manufacture products.
With resources being at a premium, our planet needs new and innovative approaches to how we use new technology. We believe that Design & Technology provides young people with the skills to push boundaries with a combination of creativity and pragmatism.
The Design & Technology Department is extremely well resourced, boasting excellent facilities such as a college-level Jewellery/Silversmithing studio, wood, metal and plastic workshops and a technology suite with 3D printers and a laser cutter.
Our challenging curriculum offers pupils a wide range of experiences and many pupils go on to study at top Universities, the full range of design-related subjects such as Product Design, Graphic Design, Theatre Set Design, Design Engineering and Architecture.
