Over the last 30 years Andrew has held a number of senior management roles within the fund management industry in Edinburgh and London. He is currently the Global COO, Distribution for Aberdeen Standard Investment, after having been a Chief Investment Officer at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership for many years. He has also been a trustee of a number of charities and pension funds, including the Chairmanship of the Scottish Episcopal Church Pension Fund. He was previously on the Court between 2009 and 2013 where he was Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Andrew was educated at St Paul’s School in London and went on to read Chinese and Economics at the University of Leeds before doing a post graduate degree in Applied Economics at the University of California Santa Cruz and then teaching Economics at the University of Savoie. His two sons, David and Sam, were educated at the Academy. Away from work he is interested in rugby, sport, investment, music and supporting his family.
