Ephor – Joint Head of Mentoring
As Joint Head Ephor of Mentoring, my goal this year is to strengthen the connection between younger and older pupils across the school. I want to help create a supportive environment where students of all ages feel comfortable approaching one another for advice, guidance, or even just a friendly chat.
I’ve been at The Edinburgh Academy since Nursery, and over the years, I’ve come to really value the sense of community that defines the school. Because it’s a smaller environment, everyone knows each other, and that closeness helps make it such a welcoming and inclusive place to learn and grow.
My favourite subjects are Geography and History, both of which I’ve always found fascinating. I’m particularly drawn to Geography and plan to study it at university.
The Edinburgh Academy has been a huge part of my life, and what makes it truly special is the strong sense of connection between pupils and staff. It’s a place where everyone is known, supported, and encouraged to be their best self, both inside and outside the classroom.
If I could give one piece of advice to anyone starting at the school, it would be to make the most of every moment—especially the little things you might take for granted. Whether it’s spending time with friends, getting involved in school activities, or even enjoying a game on the Geits astro, those are the experiences that will stay with you long after you leave.
