Parent Community

More than a student community

Parent involvement is key to maintaining a strong community at the Academy. Whether it be by following your child’s progress through Firefly, our virtual learning environment, supporting a team at one of the many sporting events or shouting a hearty ‘bravo’ at a drama or musical performance. As an EA parent, you will spend a lot of time with us and we do everything we can to provide an open and supportive structure to encourage your participation.

EA Parents’ Association

The Edinburgh Academy Parents Association (EAPA) acts as a focal point for current parents. It aims to channel the energy, skills and enthusiasm of the parent body to the benefit of the School and also to assist in welcoming new members into the Academy family. The EAPA also raises funds for the School and the Schools’ nominated charities.

All parents are encouraged to become involved in the EAPA, whether as a Class Rep or on the Committee or in helping out at events. Should you be interested in getting involved with the Parents Association please get in touch with one of the current chairs:

Junior School – Katie McGuire
Senior School – Russell Ogg
