The Edinburgh Academy is hosting a number of camps across the School, offering an exciting mix of activities to keep young minds and bodies stimulated and active during the holiday period. Camps are run in conjunction with a number of partner providers to provide the best experience possible.

FEBRUARY HALF TERM

Sports Camp / Ages 5–14

Date: 10 – 14 February
Time: 8.00–18.00
Location: Sports Centre / Junior School
Fee: £30 per day

Activities will be structured in 45 minute sessions, giving children a great opportunity to try lots of different activities during the day. Activities will be split into age groups and will include the following and many more: Football, Basketball, Hockey, Rugby, Badminton, Lego, Drawing, Just Dance, Kids Fitness, Thunderball and Tennis. These sessions provide a great taster into a range of different activities but more importantly they are great fun.

EASTER HOLIDAY

Edinburgh Attractions / Ages 10–14

Date: 6 – 9 April
Time: 9.00–16.00
Location: Off-site / Meet at Senior School
Fee: £220

Children will spend the week visiting some of Edinburgh’s most fun and famous attractions. Attractions will include Dynamic Earth, National Museum and Gallery, Mary King’s Close, Edinburgh Zoo and the Royal Yacht Britannica. All entry fee and travel costs are included in the camp price.

The Crafty Club 1 / Ages 6–9

Creative Music & Drama / Ages 8–11

Date: 6 – 10 July
Time: 9.30–14.30
Location: JS Hall / Junior School
Fee: £130

Children will spend a week exploring the magical world of Aladdin through Drama, Music and Story-telling. Through the week the children will create their own scripts, learn some of the well-known songs as well as explore musical composition. This will allow them to work together to create their own version of the story, culminating in an informal showing for parents and family on the final day. This club is designed to encourage children to cultivate their creativity, use their imagination and develop essential collaborative skills when working as an ensemble.


Mountain Biking 1 / Ages 8–10

Basketball 1 / Ages 12–16

Art Academy / Ages 11–18

This course will provide pupils with a range of artistic experiences. In the mornings we will be visiting exhibitions, drawing in various outside locations (weather permitting) and exploring a variety of themes and media. In the afternoon we will be developing what we achieved in the morning back in the studio. This will include printmaking, sculpture and painting.

Materials will be included in the price and some snacks provided although you will need to bring a packed lunch, sensible clothing and plenty of energy!
