The 162nd Academy Games - A 34 Year Record Broken!

Saturday 19th June saw a dramatic few hours at Arboretum for The 162nd Academy Games. Although there were no parents, no big picnic and the Seniors and Middle Years came in separate bubbles, the quality of athletics and levels of participation were brilliant.

The highlight of the day was when Ronnie broke the school Under 15s 800m record with a stunning run from gun to tape. The previous record had stood for 34 years. Athletics at EA has been a long and proud tradition. There were so many brave performances, lots of drama and endless smiles, and we look forward to continuing for many more years to come.

In the end, after all the racing, throwing and jumping, and the leading scores changing all morning between Divisions it incredibly came down to a draw! It was a fantastic day to begin rounding up the end of the school year!
