Time for tEA with author Sarah Pinborough (EA 1988-1990)

With 28 novels and a smash-hit TV series to her name, Sarah Pinborough is one of Britain’s leading authors and one of our most illustrious Accies.

She specialises in adult horror, with one of her novels “Behind Her Eyes” selling over a million copies worldwide since it was published in 2017.  It has also been brought to the screen in a very successful adaptation for Netflix in spring 2021.

Although born in Newport Pagnell and brought up in the Middle East, she boarded at school back in the UK from age 8.  Firstly in Bedfordshire, she then spent her A Level years at the Edinburgh Academy to the delight of her Scottish mum.  In this entertaining interview she talks to Charles Runcie about life at Henderson Row, how she eventually started to write books, and life in publishing “Luvviedom”.
