Q and A with Olympic Silver Medallist and Accie Dan Wallace

Dan Wallace learnt his craft in Glenogle Swim Centre, but ended up in the bright lights of the Rio Olympics Aquatic Stadium. The swimmer, who attended the Edinburgh Academy until Geits (P7), has raced all over the world, winning multiple European, World & Commonwealth medals. However, it is his story of emerging with Olympic Silver in the men’s 4 x 200m freestyle which is the most insightful. His recollection of facing up to legendary competitor Michael Phelps in that Olympic final and his tales of rising through the competitive ranks to being amongst the world’s best, provided an invaluable insight to the mind of an elite athlete.
