A place where children are known, nurtured, and inspired

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the The Edinburgh Academy Junior School and Nursery, located on our dedicated Inverleith campus in the heart of Edinburgh. Our outstanding facilities reflect significant investment, and our extensive green spaces provide an exceptional opportunity for outdoor learning and play. However, it is the warmth, compassion, and enthusiasm of our pupils and staff that make our school truly special.

Our Nursery and Junior School offer a nurturing environment where children can thrive—both academically and emotionally—before making a confident transition to the Senior School.

As Headteacher, I feel incredibly privileged to support our pupils during these formative years. Here, learning is joyful, active and creative. We provide children with a strong academic foundation in an environment where their emotional security and character development are always a priority.

We aim to build resilience, curiosity, and independent thinking, in a supportive community where every child is known and every voice matters. We are big enough to offer a wide range of exciting opportunities, but small enough to ensure every child is known and celebrated for their unique strengths, interests and personalities.

Please do come and visit us in person at an Open Day or by booking a personal tour, and experience for yourself the nurturing, positive culture which is central to our Junior School and Nursery experience.
