How to Apply
At The Edinburgh Academy, we aim to make the admissions process as smooth, clear, and welcoming as possible for families considering our school.
We offer co-educational independent education for children aged 2 to 18, with three key stages:
- Nursery (2–5yrs)
- Junior School: Primary 1 to Primary 6 (approximately 5–11yrs)
- Senior School: Primary 7/Geits to Senior 6/7ths (approximately 11–18yrs)
Entry Criteria
Entry to The Edinburgh Academy is through initial academic assessment. However, as a family-oriented school, we welcome pupils with a wide range of abilities and interests. Our goal is to help every child reach their academic potential while developing as a confident, well-rounded individual.
For Nursery, places are allocated by date of application. We may also invite older Nursery children to a taster session before a place is allocated.
For entry into Junior and Senior School, our selection process is designed to identify pupils who are able to benefit from our balanced and well-rounded education and make a positive contribution towards the life of the school.
