Accordion Director of Development and Alumni Relations

Director of Development and Alumni Relations

The Court of Directors seeks a talented professional to create and lead the Development Office incorporating the existing EA Foundation and the Academical Club. The position will bring significant opportunity to drive forward the fundraising capacity of the School, for bursaries and capital building projects, and of equal importance strengthen the relationship between the School and its former pupil community. This is a senior appointment reporting to the Rector and the successful candidate will be a member of the School’s Senior Management Team.

A strong communicator educated to degree level or equivalent with high levels of energy and initiative, you will either be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of income generation or alternatively you may come from a business or corporate development role within the commercial sector with a demonstrable understanding of the requirements for successful fundraising and relationship development. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Edinburgh Academy at an exciting time in its strategic development and to contribute to its preparations for the bi-centenary in 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and progress development and fundraising in one of the top schools in Scotland.
