Senior School Receptionist (Maternity Cover)

Salary: Circa £17000 – £19000

As the Senior School Receptionist, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of organisational, administration and IT support tasks in support of the daily running of the School. You will be the first point of contact for visitors to the Senior School and will be required to answer phone calls, screen calls and take messages as well to collate registers and monitor pupil attendance. The role routinely deals with sensitive and confidential information and therefore discretion, confidentiality and integrity are an absolute requirement.

This appointment is Term Time Only Plus In-Service Training Days. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8.15am to 5.00pm.

As Bursar’s Assistant, the overall purpose of the job is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Bursar.  Acting as first point of contact for the Bursar’s Office and to receive all enquiries both internally within the school and externally.  The key function is to support the Bursar in his role as Clerk to the Court of Directors and in the operational running of the School. The role routinely deals with sensitive and confidential information and therefore discretion, confidentiality and integrity are an absolute requirement.

Due to the wide spectrum of tasks that the Bursar’s Office deals with this role requires the individual to be very flexible and adaptable with an excellent ability to prioritise their workload.

This role is a full time permanent post.

The overall purpose of the job is to act as a first point of contact for all Human Resources related issues and provide comprehensive administrative support in this area.  The role routinely deals with sensitive and confidential information and therefore discretion, confidentiality and integrity are an absolute requirement.

This post holder will work very closely with the Bursar’s Assistant and will be required to provide assistance on occasions and deputise for that role during periods of absence.

This role is 16 hours per week, preferably spread over 4 days, term time only plus 5 in-service training days.
