Our helpful and friendly staff are always on hand to assist you with any problems and help you design your own personal fitness programme.
No queueing
We also work on the policy that customers should never have to queue for machines, as this is hugely infuriating, so you are guaranteed a great workout in an exclusive gym without any of the usual inconveniencies.

There is plenty of parking in the school yards outside school hours.

Fitness Instruction (40 hours per week)
Responsible person required for advertising and running fitness classes, gym inductions, fitness programmes and supervising Leisure Attendants. Hours 2.30–10.30pm daily, £6.50 per hour.

A modern & well equipped leisure facility
The Edinburgh Academy Sports Centre is situated in the grounds of The Edinburgh Academy Junior School on Arboretum Road. The centre is jointly funded by The Edinburgh Academy and the lottery sports fund.
It is used during the day by staff, pupils and parents of pupils. The wider community use it in the evenings, during weekends and school holidays.

versatile sports hall
Academy Sports has a sports hall suitable for a number of different types of activities. Our sports hall is regularly home to badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball and tae kwon do, as well as indoor football, cricket and hockey.

Academy Sports has an exclusive gymnasium with the latest exercise machinery. The gym has both a weights room and a cardio vascular room. Please note you must be aged 16 years or over to use the weights room and 14 years and over to use the cardio room.

We have three squash courts here at the Academy Sports Centre all of competition standard and the cost of a court is only £9.

We have three all weather tennis courts at Academy Sports that can be booked in a one off basis by both members and the general public. All of these can be block booked for the same time each week. Tennis Hours : Monday-Friday 12-2pm & 5-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm
