Procedure

Parents are invited to meet their son’s or daughter’s teachers between 5.30 and 8.00 pm in the Dining Hall once a year. The dates are as follows, and will be confi rmed by the termly Calendar and by an invitation. An appointment card with times will have been fi lled in by the pupil.

An appointment card is issued to the pupil about a week before the event, and he or she is responsible for arranging suitable appointments with teachers. Parents should ensure that their child knows when they expect to arrive. The idea of the appointment system is to avoid the need for queueing.

In Geits-5ths it is only the parents who attend; in the 6ths and 7ths we encourage pupils to attend with their parents.

In addition to subject teachers the Rector and Deputy Rectors will usually be present, as will a member of the Court of Directors. No appointments are required for meetings with them.

The Rector will usually make a brief address to the gathering at 6.30pm, and this may be followed by specific comments from the appropriate Head of Year. Light refreshments will be available.
