Current Affairs
There are records and then there are records. Some things you want to know at once, whilst other information you may be content to receive somewhat later or in a more formal manner.
The Academy therefore has a number of different ways of keeping in touch with all those who may be interested in what goes on here. Information of general interest is usually posted on the site as soon as it is available. Examples include the most recent year's examination results, announcements of impending staff vacancies and major developments in the school's policy or structure. Where such information is urgent we deliver it directly to subscribers to our RSS feed. To subscribe, just click on the link below.
RSS Feed
For up to the minute news we issue a weekly News Sheet. This is issued by email, but is still available in a paper form, usually four sided, to to parents who do not use electronic communication. We also reproduce it in html form on this website. Occasionally the website version will include pictures or reports received too late for the emailed version.
Our other publications
Blogs
.jpg) Both the Rector and the Headteacher make weekly contributions to this news, and sometimes their contributions contain important information which is not of an ephemeral nature. These pieces are therefore now collected together and published in the form of blogs (web logs). These contain at least a whole term's contributions at one time and the policy content is preserved in the blog archive pages. You can subscribe to the RSS feed to the Rector's blog and / or the RSS feed to the Headteacher's blog. You may comment or ask questions on the blogs if you wish.

On line Bulletins
When we want to make official announcements we generally send letters direct to all parents. However not everyone who may be interested in these matters is a parent. For the benefit of the wider public we operate an electronic bulletin board. Recent bulletins include the co-education programme.

The Chronicle
The Chronicle is our annual magazine of record. However it does not merely archive the history of the school for the benefit of future historians. It serves as an ongoing testimony to the originality, variety and excellence of Academy life.
The Chronicle is published during the autumn term of the academic year following that which it records. |
The Bulletin
Produced twice each year, (and not to be confused with the ad hoc on line publications of the same name,) this glossy flier summarises the past year's activities, including examination results and destinations of leavers. It also details progress in the development plan and new projects. It is sent to all current parents.
You can download the Bulletin from this website in pdf format. |

We produce an annual arts magazine, featuring the poetry, prose, photographic, artistic and other creative work of the senior school.
This award winning magazine is put together by the students themselves. |
