Waverley Station Edinburgh has services throughout Scotland, including a service every 15 minutes to Glasgow. There is a fast service on the East coast main line to London as well as a cross country route to Devon. Commuting by rail is possible from East and West Lothian, and from towns on the southern part of the Fife Circle line. From the West there are subsidiary stations at Park (for the industrial estate) and Haymarket (for the West End) before the city centre. |

Edinburgh is served by an international airport which is located just to the west of the city. There are frequent direct buses to the city centre, as well as airport taxis.
Edinburgh is close to the Scottish terminus of the Superfast Ferry to Belgium. The overnight crossing takes approximately 18 hours. 
Edinburgh has motorway links to Glasgow in the West and Perth and Aberdeen to the North. The upgraded A1(M) runs East and then South to Newcastle.
