Wedding Receptions / DinnersWithin a self contained and attractive listed building, with secure off road parking, the spacious senior school dining hall (68 feet by 39 feet) has panelled walls and strip wood floor. A raised stage area at its east end, makes the dining hall ideal for dinner dances. There is a convenient side aisle for coats etc. The Dining Hall is used for many different types of events: weddings, dinners, meetings, dances etc. 200 people can be accomodated for a formal dinner. Out of school hours there are acres of space on all our sites for users' vehicles.

Formal dinners and dancesThe senior school assembly hall is a beautiful and unusual oval shaped auditorium, entered through an imposing classical facade (main picture above). The hall is 50 feet long in the floor well, which is surrounded by a raised walkway. It has a stage area at one end, and is equipped with a splendid pipe organ and a grand piano. The hall seats 300 in theatre format or up to 140 for a formal dinner. It has a modern kitchen, and toilets leading off the hall. The hall can be combined with other rooms for larger functions, weddings etc. There is ample off road parking in the school yards. |
Dining Room with a viewThe junior school dining room ocuupies the upper storey ot a modern building that enjoys an elevated position with clear views south to Edinburgh Castle. There are two main dining areas with kitchen and servery between. Polished wooden floor throughout. Ample parking facilities. Much used for ceilidhs and dinner, the Junior Dining Hall is used for many different types of events: weddings, meetings, dances etc. 170 people can be accomodated for a formal dinner. |
A great dance party spaceVery accessible, being off the main foyer of the school, the junior assembly hall is 57 feet x 41 feet, with a wooden floor. An additional 9 foot walkway strip round three sides is an ideal area for tables during ceilidhs and parties. There is a large stage at one end and a balcony at the opposite end. A perfect venue for meetings, ceilidhs, conferences, dinners and receptions. |
