School Fees
General Informationtermly feestuitionTuition fees at The Edinburgh Academy are normally reviewed annually in April, and any increase is applied from the start of the summer term. lunchLunch charges are reviewed in August each year. Termly school fees are payable in advance by monthly or termly direct debit. Payment may also be made by Childcare Vouchers. extrasThe account for extras is rendered at the end of each term. Junior School parents will be billed for After School Care. Other items will be billed with parent’s consent. Books are included in the Junior School tuition fee. Senior School parents will be billed for books and stationery, public examination fees and materials for art and design technology. Other items will be billed with parents’ consent. Music FeesIf the Academy employs the music teacher, the fee for music tuition will be billed on your extras’ account along with any hire of a musical instrument. Peripatetic music teachers will render their account personally. Late paymentPlease note that we are obliged to charge Interest on late payment of fees since these damage the school's cash flow and oblige us to incur extra costs. registration feeA registration fee of £20 should accompany the enrolment form. depositA deposit of £150 is required to be paid (£50 for Nursery pupils), along with the completed acceptance form. This will be refunded on your son/daughter’s last term’s outlay bill |
Financial help availablefamily discountWhere three or more brothers or sisters are in attendance at the Academy at the same time, a reduction of the fees is made in respect of the third and any subsequent child. Children aged three years and more attending the Nursery are included in this arrangement. Full fees continue to be payable for the first two children. nursery fundingIn respect of Nursery education, the school is able bursariesEvery year The Edinburgh Academy offers financial support to help able children achieve their highest potential. Bursaries (financial support) of up to 100% of school fees, dependent on parental means, are available to appropriate pupils whose families may not otherwise be in a position to consider the school. hardship supportThere are available certain bursaries to help deserving pupils already in the school to continue their education at the Academy when, through unforeseen circumstances, parents find it difficult or impossible to pay the full fees. Awards are made by the Directors after consideration of each case. |
