Legacy Club

The Club is to be established to provide a meeting place for those who have informed us that they have made provision in their wills for a donation to be made to the Foundation. The Club will meet at least once a year for a lunch/dinner at the school and members will be invited to attend school events.
The Foundation is pleased to report that following the launch of our Legacy Campaign, several more Accies have confirmed their intentions to leave a legacy to the School. Grateful thanks are due to others who made donations on the night or sent cheques with their letters following what was a most enjoyable evening. Ian Percy, who is leading this campaign of giving, spoke warmly of his time at the Academy and urged others to take his lead and “put something back”. All Charities rely heavily on the financial support provided by legacies - indeed, for many this is the backbone to fundraising; but these gifts can be used so much more effectively if notified in advance, thus enabling long term planning and development. It is worth noting that 25% of unrestricted funds are made available to the Bursary fund; surely it is truly uplifting to think that at the end of life one can contribute in such a positive way to help educate another.
Standing Orders

Regular donations- you can make a serious of donation to us by completing a Standing Order in our favour. This is the simplest way to make regular on-going donations to the Foundation. Again if you are a taxpayer you can complete a Gift Aid declaration and we will collect the tax.
Share Transfer
Share transfer- the transfer of shares to the Foundation is free from any Capital Gains tax. You simply have to tell us you wish to transfer shares and we can arrange for a Crest Transfer to take place.
CAF
Charity cheques and Charity cards- the Foundation can accept donations by means of CAF charity cheques and charity credit cards. You complete the details required regarding the amount you wish to donate and send the information to us. We will then arrange for CAF to transfer the funds to us.
Gift aid
If you are a taxpayer you can make your donation under Gift Aid and we can claim back the tax element from the Inland Revenue. This effectively increases your donation by 28% (basic rate tax) at no extra cost to you. (Gift Aid Form)
