About the EA Foundation
The Foundation's aim is to bring together all those who have affection for The Edinburgh Academy, to invite them to share in its vision, and to explore ways in which they can offer their support. It is also the aim of the Foundation significantly to build the Bursary Fund to help those in need and truly justify our charitable status; there is no gift greater than the experience of education.

We are a charity
Our charitable status is of great importance. It means we have to follow stringent accounting practices, hence anyone giving money to the Foundation can rest assured that it will be safeguarded and used for the purpose given.
Charitable status also allows us access to many trusts and other foundations which only give money for charitable purposes.
Gift Aid
We can claim back tax on most donations given to us, providing a Gift Aid Declaration is completed. This can add almost a quarter to our funds at no extra cost to the donor.
How can you help?
If 200 Accies pledge £50 each annually imagine what the Bursary fund could provide for a talented child.
If 200 Accies pledge just £15 per month, less than the price of a daily newspaper, then the resulting fund would pay for an Astroturf playground at the Junior school.
If 20 Accies pledge £500 each to the annual fund then £10,000 would provide wonderfully upgraded facilities at Blair house.
If all Accies pledge to leave a legacy, however small, to the school, please try to imagine how bright a future we can guarantee, the goals, the achievements, the experiences.
